DIY CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN BOARD

November 30, 2017

Hey guys! It’s only less than a month from christmas and I am sooo excited about it! To be honest, I really don’t care that much about christmas day itself, but more about all of the festive and cosy decorations and christmas music! How about you? Are you looking forward to christmas like me or do you find it still way too early to be even thinking about it? Well, anyways, I am flipping excited and totally in the christmas mood, so that’s why I decided to make a christmas countdown board to countdown the days until christmas will finally be here!

This was actually fairly easy to make. I used an old corkboard that I still had lying around and to make it a little bit prettier and more festive I painted it white and the frame silver.

Then I drew on the numbers 1 to 25 with a black marker in the shape of christmas tree with number one as the star on top. You could make this a little bit easier by using number stickers.

With glitter and glue, I made a sparkly star around number one by drawing a star with glue and sprinkling some red glitter on top. You can tap of the excess glitter and that’s pretty much it for your board.

Now you only need something to countdown the days with. For this I used a pushpin and two, different coloured, glittery pipe cleaners. I twisted them around each other and formed them into a circle. I hung this circle onto the pushpin and stuck it onto the corkboard. You can move this circle everyday by placing the pushpin above the next day.

And that’s how I made it! I actually think this turned out very cute J. I really hope you like it and might try to make it yourself. Let me know if you do and also I would love it if you let me know if you are looking forward to christmas!

Love, Esther
